Simple Lava Lamp



EN: "Lava lamp" with different principles




you guys must have been familiar with the decoration on this one ...but ... how the hell do I work "lava
lamp" is ..?
as seen in the picture above, in the tube there are two kinds of substances. The first is a liquid substance (a more tenuous), and substances on the bottom of the tube which is a wax compound that is more solid than the surrounding fluid.
nah ... when the lights turned on, heat from the lights would melt solid wax compound so that the compound melts. when the compound melts wax density to be lower than the surrounding fluid. because the density becomes lower, then the wax compounds onto the surface of the tube ...
at the time was on the tube this liquid wax compounds get colder because it is far from sources of heat (but do not become solid as before). after becoming colder the higher density compound that causes the liquid wax back down to the bottom of the tube ....
these events occur repeatedly so it looks like compound wax moves up and down .....This principle may be simple enough, but actually quite tricky to balance the elements of compounds, heat sources, and the size of the lava lamp tube so that the clot can move up and down and create artistic effects ...







we'll make a simple lava lamp.

materials in use:

   1. bottles
   2. vegetable oil
   3. water
   4. food coloring
   5. Alka-Seltzer tablets (a form of vitamin tablets that hissed when put into water, vitamin tablets can be replaced by another vitamin c like enervon-c)



create:

   1. fill the bottle with vegetable oil until almost full
   2. then, enter the water into the bottle (water bottle will be at the bottom)
   3. drops of food coloring (any color)
   4. enter Alka-Seltzer tablets (tablets that down and mixed with water)
   5th. "Lava" will be circled in a bottle


what happened ....

Alka Seltzer tablet when exposed to water, it will react and produce bubbles of carbon dioxide (the same as when we mix vinegar with baking soda). carbon dioxide bubbles that make water bottles at the base upward. when it comes to the surface, irrespective of carbon dioxide gas and causes the water were at the top, to descend back to the bottom of the bottle. This experiment can be repeated depending on the number of tablets that included .....

although this experiment is different from how it works that utilize hot lava lamps, but these experiments gave almost the same effect with lava lamps ....

ID:"lampu lava" dengan prinsip berbeda

kita akan membuat lampu lava sederhana.

bahan yang di gunakan:

   1. botol bekas
   2. minyak sayur
   3. air
   4. pewarna makanan
   5. tablet alka-seltzer (sejenis tablet vitamin yang berdesis ketika dimasukkan ke dalam air, bisa diganti dengan tablet vitamin c yang lain)



cara membuat:

   1. isi botol dengan minyak sayur sampai hampir penuh
   2. kemudian, masukkan air ke dalam botol (air akan berada di dasar botol)
   3. teteskan pewarna makanan (warna apa saja)
   4. masukkan tablet alka-seltzer (sehingga tablet turun dan tercampur dengan air)
   5. "lava" akan berputar-putar di dalam botol


apa yang terjadi....

ketika tablet alka seltzer terkena air, maka akan bereaksi dan menghasilkan gelembung karbon dioksida (sama halnya ketika kita mencampur cuka dengan soda kue). gelembung karbon dioksida tersebut membuat air pada dasar botol terangkat ke atas. ketika sampai ke permukaan, gas karbon dioksida terlepas dan menyebabkan air yang tadinya berada di atas, menjadi turun kembali ke dasar botol. percobaan ini bisa diulang tergantung banyaknya tablet yang dimasukkan.....

meskipun percobaan ini cara kerjanya berbeda dengan lampu lava yang memanfaatkan panas, tetapi percobaan ini memberikan efek yang hampir sama dengan lampu lava....
jadi...selamat mencoba...!
